Fujifilm works for raw processing of X-Trans CMOS with Ichikawa Soft Laboratory

May 31, 2013

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Shigehiro Nakajima) and Ichikawa Soft Laboratory have been working together to improve image processing of X-Trans and EXR-Sensor based raw captures. X-Trans CMOS has a new type of sensor filter array developed by FUJIFILM to improve image quality.

The release of "SILKYPIX Developer Studio Pro5" offers improvements in the processing of X-Trans raw files for the X100S, X20, X-Pro1 and X-E1, with these improved image processing algorithms. It can now further utilize the functions in "X-Trans CMOS Sensors," as well as create images that maintains high resolution while eliminating images such as moiré and improving color reproduction under special light sources.
